Raw Metal Column Radiators and How to Style Them

Move away from traditional column radiator styles to our range of raw metal radiators. Replace boring radiators with triple column radiators that stand out.

Here at Column Rads we have a huge range of colours and finishes to choose from.  There are a few styles that continue to be extremely popular with our customers. The Raw Metal finish being one of those. Today we’re going to show you the best way to style your raw metal radiators and see just how versatile they can be. In our customer pictures thoughout this blog post, you can see just how well how that contrast is created and maintained in rooms with completely different uses. We know that it can be hard for people to deviate from the safety of white and cream horizontal radiators that they’re used to. That's why we’ve made it our mission to present our different colours and finishes in the most inspiring ways possible.

Radiators with Dark Colours

Dark coloured walls were once considered a teenage goth phase, now dark are most definitely on trend and they look to be staying for a few years to come. As people begin to turn away from safe white walls and towards darker, richer tones, it can be harder to find the perfect radiator finishes that work well. Whether you paint the whole room or just one feature wall, our raw metal column radiators can work perfectly. You can add luxurious, velvet furniture and intricate patterns for a decadent look or lighter floor coverings and accessories to add something to brighten the room up. Pair our raw metal radiators with Bentley valves and add a real touch of opulence to any room.

Creating a Neutral Space

Showing how versatile the raw metal radiators can be, they also look fantastic with some neutral colours.  With some well chosen, earthy textiles and a few house plants, they can add a different dimension to a room.  They add depth to a minimally styled room whilst keeping the room looking fresh. They blend in nicely to the neutral surroundings but can also stand out against a white room. You could use them as a feature in a room styled like this, creating a calming space to chill out and relax. Match with some some hanging vines and rustic wooden shelves and you have yourself a peaceful little reading nook. To finish the look, why not add some of our Bentley Traditional Valves or our Bentley Manual Valve Set to continue the natural styling.

Industrial Styles

The industrial style is ageless. Exposed brick, reclaimed wood and rich fabrics are all key aspects to this style which can easily be replicated in homes across the country. If you’re not excited by the thought of stripping the plaster off your walls, then you can easily purchase brick patterned wallpaper at a fraction of the cost. The mixing of textures such as metal, brick and wood works well together. It creates a timeless, rustic setting, that’s cosy and comfortable. Raw metal radiators are also great in more high traffic areas, due to their robust nature. They're less likely to show wear and tear than a white radiator.

We also sell radiator valves to match our raw metal finish column radiators. You can get the complete designer radiator look without having to hunt down matching accessories. We can supply everything you need to complete the look. You can still get the traditional style without the performance problems often associated with older radiators.

Remember that the quality of Column Rads radiators is incomparable to other brands. Beware of imitations! We’ve presented you with a few different examples on how to style our raw metal radiators, but the options really are endless. They’re one of our most versatile within the range and are a real classic. We're certain that they will continue to be in style for years to come.
