The choice of radiators has grown hugely over the last few years and now there is a myriad of different styles, colours and sizes. The market for designer radiators has grown because of the prices and general affordability of these products and in certain circumstances mass production.  

Column Radiators

Column radiators or tubular ones have been popular for many years and occur in many different incarnations and materials. The most popular being steel and here at Columnrads we pride ourselves in probably offering the best style, finish, selection and availability in the market. Recently we introduced a flat panel radiator which is sectional but definitely not tubular. We have looked to introduce a new range to complement the existing column rads and actually not compete. We do not think that there is a dilemma between the two styles as they are so far apart in the look and feel. Over the years and with thousands of radiators sold we have learnt that offering a good quality product is not just important, but plays a key part in the word of mouth. Twin this with price and availability and you have a winning formula.  The two styles of radiators appeal to different types of applications. The column rads definitely have a wider range of applications as the style is timeless and can transcend modern and traditional.  

Flat Panel Radiators

Flat panel radiators are slightly more specific and really on suitable for modern environments. This does not mean that with the huge mixture of styles, industrial, upcycled etcetera you cannot use them in a post 1920’s theme. There is no way in the world that we would comment on what to use where and how with regards to style and theme because who knows what works until you try it. Who would have said that in the 21^st Century we would be buying upcycled furniture made out of old bits of various sideboards? That we would want to use factory lamps and utilitarian office equipment in the lounge. Anything goes and you can interpret style and design how you like, we are merely here to get you the best deal and the best service. So is there a competition between the two styles? Well that is up to you and how you decide to use these great products.
